About Coach

I am a very structural teacher than puts an emphasis on alignment, strength building, breathing, and more importantly overcoming physical and mental obstacles. I tend to teach by demoing some, participating in some of the challenging postures, but more importantly watching and editing my students to see their practices and help them along the way. Many of my themes during class involve focused intentions and gratitude that will carry over outside of class.

Turning Point

I have seen the benefits of yoga in almost every area of life. The physicality of the practice does build the body, but there are just as many positive changes in a person's mentality, energy, emotions and spirit. I find that by encouraging strength in my students, these areas become even stronger than expected for most students. These positive changes I witness keep me motivated to continue to be the best possible teacher. I find with a regular practice people start to change internally in ways they never expected such as, they're nervous system shifts for the positive, confidence, learning how to self regulate emotions and difficulties, and even better habits such as better sleep and proper nutrition.

Motivation & Passion

As for why I love to teach and share yoga, there are probably numerous reasons. However, if I were to pick the main one it is because I experienced the enormous benefits of the practice in my own life and it impacted me greatly. I decided to go through my yoga training to deepen my personal practice and as I was learning and growing, I realized that this was so powerful that I had to share it with others.
